Samunnati Lehonkova is an Olympic marathon runner who took up running at an early age after becoming a disciple of Sri Chinmoy. In this short video, Samunnati talks about how she started meditation and running at the same time, and how she attempts to practice self-transcendence through her running and other aspects of life. Samunnati is an accomplished marathon runner, having represented Ukraine at the 2016 Olympics and has won the Dublin Marathon (twice) Belfast Marathon and Los Angeles.

In the depths of winter, Shamita Achenbach-Konig set out to run from her home in Vienna all the way to her birthplace of Bregenz, in the very west of Austria. This 640km journey took her a total of 7 days which involved being out on the road for up to 16 hours of the day.
Shamita had to contend with 4,000m of ascent and descent, plus the harsh weather of an Austrian winter.
Shamita is a professional cellist by profession, but has been running ultra-distance races with the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team for over 25 years.

The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run is a global torch relay dedicated to the simple idea that world peace begins within the heart of each individual. Founded in 1987 by Sri Chinmoy, the Peace Run has covered over 395,000 miles (632,000 km) in over 150 nations and has touched the lives of millions.

Impossibility-Challenger is a record festival that provides a platform and an opportunity for anyone to try to break a world record in any non-Olympic discipline. The records can be athletic, funny, creative, as long as they are challenging and require some serious training or preparation. The Impossibility Challenger was first organized in Zürich, Switzerland in 1982. Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the Impossibility Challenger, visited the event twice in the following years. From 2002 on, the Impossibility Challenger took place also in Germany, New Zealand, Hungary and Portugal. The event is sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Centres. This year the event took place in Kladno, Czech Republic on November 12. The next edition of the Impossibility Challenger will happen on June 9th and 10th 2018 in Leiria, Portugal.
