Video #210: Peace Tree Planting in Vienna, Austria

A Peace Tree was recently planted at Auer Welsbach Park in Vienna, Austria. This video highlights the activities. The plaque reads:

Sri Chinmoy Peace Tree

‘Silence is the seed. Peace is the tree.’

-Sri Chinmoy

This Japanese Zelkove ‘Green Vase’ (Zelkova serrata ‘Green Vaşe) was planted in December 2023. May everyone who looks at this tree experience a moment of silence and enjoy a fulfilling dream of peace.

Video #206: Screening of ‘Challenging Impossibility’: A Story of Inspiration (Bogdanci, Macedonia)

A screening of “Challenging Impossibility”, the third in three months, was held in Bogdanci, the second smallest town in the south of Macedonia, near the Greek border.

The people at the public culture house (comprising a theater, gallery, and library) were especially kind, with the manager going out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience for attendees. Despite the daylong rain across the country and the town’s small population of 5000, turnout was limited. Nevertheless, those who did come seemed genuinely delighted to watch the movie and spent time exploring Sri Shinmoy’s books.

The manager delivered a captivating introduction, surprising everyone by sharing their recent venture into meditation and Sri Shinmoy’s teachings. Just a few months ago, the public library they oversee received a donation of Sri Shinmoy’s books from the organizing team.

Video #205: Invitation of Sri Chinmoy Seven minutes of World Peace Event at UN on 9/21/2023

Recent interview with Nilima about this Thursday’s Seven Minutes of World Peace by award winning Bangladeshi TV news anchor Dima Nefartity, followed by a Centre presentation at a program initiated by the New York City Mayor’s office called “Breaking Bread, Building Bonds.”

Seven Minutes of World Peace was inaugurated in 1984 by Sri Chinmoy: The Peace Meditation at the United Nations. Since its inception, numerous individuals and groups from around the world have participated, and letters and proclamations have been received from Heads of State, governors and mayors.

It is a soulful prelude to the United Nations Peace Bell Ceremony, which itself “rings in” the International Day of Peace.

Video #202: Spiritual Art Displayed on Largest LED Screen in Bulgaria

Sri Chinmoy’s traveling art exhibit in Bulgaria, featuring his Jharna-Kala (“fountain art”) is being displayed at Plovdid Plaza, the biggest and the most modern shopping center in Plovdiv. As part of the promotion of the gallery, a high tech video wall 16 meters (53.48 feet) high by 11 meters wide is playing a beautifully made 2 minute video of the artist. The total area is 172 square meters, reaching the third floor of the shopping center. The gallery runs until December 20, 2022.

Gratitude to Plovdiv Plaza Mall for kindly offering their space and promotion.

To promote the one-of-a-kind exhibition, they once again provided free of charge a 16-meter-high video LED screen, over 20 digital totems broadcasting information about the exhibition and a voice advertisement on the mall’s radio channel urging visitors to visit the exhibition.

Two days after the opening, a meditative concert with live music was held, where visitors immersed themselves in the musical art atmosphere.
